A often overlooked way to create quality backlinks is to write testimonials for services and software that you use.

If you love super successful Zappos to order your shoes from write them a letter and tell them so. Do not be a phony and write to every publisher out there as they will see right thru it especially if you havent ordered something from the business you are writing about. If you write a sincere quality testimonal there is a good chance they may publish it with a link back to your blog. Be very specific about what you like about the particular service or business you are writing about.

Every business owner loves to see good articles written about there business or service and more time than not they will reward you with a back link. If you’ve written a review of the product/service on your blog and it is a good review send them a email and let them know as they might want to use it as a plug for their business or service. I don’t recommend you do this nonstop but if you can get some of these feathers in your hat it will go a long way in your quest for that top spot in the page rankings.
