I can say in all honesty that blog promotion is evolving into big business for some and little business for others. There are so many blogs out there that get very little love at all. I am fortunate enough to have a lot of blogger friends that will add me to there blogroll. So that is what todays blog promotion tip is about, blogrolls. One of the most powerful blog promotion tips I can give you is to target other peoples blogrolls.

I will practice what I preach and extend a open invitation to this blog to add anybody’s blog to my blogroll that will add me back to there blogroll,just leave me a comment in this post and it shall be done. Getting your blog added to blogrolls on a lot of blogs can be blog promotions most powerful traffic tool. I have friends that are on over 500 other peoples blogrolls and every blog that is on that many blogs, blogrolls gets mega traffic. It should be your goal to get your blog on as many blogrolls as you can. If there is a blog that you visit often ask them to add your blog to there roll and do the same for them. If they refuse then never visit there blog again. I hate the so called big shots PR 5 and above who think they will get penalized for adding a PR 0 to there blogroll. This is not true I have sites that are PR 5 and I have brand new blogs on there blogrolls and it changes nothing. Like I said before on other posts the old ways google indexed pages is out the window, they have changed with the times and if you own as many sites as I do then you would know this to be true. Your assignment today is to go out there and find a blog you want to be on there blogroll and ask them, do this everyday and you will get some blogs who say yes and some will say no but you will get on nobodys blog roll if you dont ask. Do not add a blog to your blog roll who does not return the favor, don’t do it. So like I said above if you want to be a part of my blog roll just add a comment and add my site to your blogroll and we will be one big traffic trading blog family.

I cannot stress enough how important it is to have the name of your blog be tied into your particular niche. If you are thinking about starting a blog writing about custom cars then your blog name should have both of those words in the name of your blog. The shorter the name  of your url the better for your followers or readers to remember and to cut down on misspellings. It can tick you off when you see all the names that are parked on a page with a directory or no content at all and they have the name you want. But dont give up, keep checking word combinations for your niche. Do not pay these people for that special name that they are sitting on,do not give into this extortion practice. If you came upon this post after you already registered a new name and started a blog. And your blog is not in the top 2 pages for your particular niche then I would consider starting over with a related blog name. Using Youtube to promote your blog

There are so many different articles on how to promote your blog or website using youtube. Most of these articles are a waste of time as Youtube is a nofollow site and can actually drive your seo page ranking down. Youtube is one of the biggest sites in the world last time I checked Alexa I think they were number 5. It doesn’t matter they are big and their traffic is undeniable. After sifting thru all the ways to drive traffic from Youtube to your site I have decided that most of the effort is a waste of time and your time could be better spent creating back links to your blog or just writing new blog posts.

Im sure I will have some who disagree with me but this is a blog promotion site and I dont want to steer you wrong with a bunch of fluff and B.S. like some of the bigger sites will. First and foremost do not ever pay someone to promote your site thru Youtube this is a guaranteed scam.

It wouldn’t be profitable for the business that claims it can because the time and effort would outweigh their profit.Steer clear of these scams. But if you are a avid Youtube visitor like I am, I use Youtube videos on some of my other sites there is one fast way to drive traffic to your site using Youtube. It is leaving a comment on any video page that you watch.

The comment will not create a link back but it can lead to visitors and usually the person who posted the video will come for a visit as well, because they always come back to check their video comments out. If your niche is celebrity news then search for celebrity news videos and be specific and search only for today. Videos will show up about celebrity news and some will show up not related to your search , you will have to sift thru these videos.

If your site is called celebritynewsbuzz  then leave a comment on the site that says we used your video on our site celebritynewsbuzz it is on the front page. If you use videos in your blog then post the Youtube video you have found on your blog, readers love videos.

If you dont post videos then leave the comment we are thinking about using your video on our site celebritynewsbuzz. You can not leave a .com at the end of your comment as it will be filtered out by youtube. And if your site is not a .com then you are out of luck because 99% of the people who are nosy and the video poster will type in celebritynewsbuzz.com.

The only other way you can get traffic from Youtube is to make your own videos and post them up on Youtube , but once again this is a lot of trouble and you dont want to do this as very few will leave Youtube to check out your site. Posting comments is the way to go , I know I do it everyday for my site that I use videos on.
